What truly made this vacation stand out was the intimate experience of sailing between islands. There’s something undeniably special about being surrounded by nothing but the vast expanse of the ocean, with only the sound of the wind and waves to keep you company. No crowded resorts, no tourist traps—just me, my wife, two other couples, the captain, and the open sea.
I may have missed out on the underwater wonders that Hawaii is famous for, but what I gained in return was far more valuable: a sense of peace and serenity that can only be found in the simplicity of nature. Plus, let’s be real, not having to squeeze into a wetsuit was a definite bonus.
